Goldwell Unveils Velvet Gradients: A New Dimension of Collaboration, Colour and Creativity

Goldwell is turning up the volume on colour with the launch of Velvet Gradients! Its bold new campaign, designed by stylists for stylists. Blending vibrant self-expression with global salon ingenuity.
A global stage for artists to collaborate
As Goldwell enters a new era, the brand’s stylist-centric mindset is taken one step further as it puts colour creators at the centre of everything. In the spirit of co-creation, the Velvet Gradients campaign marks the first ever Goldwell Color CoLAB - a coming together of diverse global voices to celebrate colour, creativity and innovation.
Colourists and friends of the brand Salome De Wet, Zachary Norman, Peter Wu, and Neil Barton joined forces with leading forecaster Jane Boddy to unlock new perspectives and create a fresh new colour palette to inspire colourists across the globe.
“With Velvet Gradients we set out to showcase hair artistry and the power of collaboration. It’s incredibly inspiring to witness the result – our Color CoLAB uniting to create looks which shape the future of colour.”
— Bettina Schupp, Vice President Brand Development, Kao Salon Global
A celebration of craft and colour
Goldwell empowers stylists around the globe to explore seamless tonal transitions through the lens of velvet. Bold yet wearable, these colours serve vintage elegance with modern vibes.
The colour story is fuelled by the modern romanticism of catwalks and beauty trends—resulting in looks that combine contemporary edge with a timeless vibe.
Color CoLAB member and trend forecaster Jane Boddy commented: “This campaign is about seamlessly merging boldness with softness. It reimagines a romantic and nostalgic aesthetic but through a modern lens, offering a fresh and updated perspective.”
