The Power of WOW
Color Wow was created by Gail Federici, a hair pro who felt that something was missing from the ever-growing industry. Now with over 70 major beauty awards under its belt, Color Wow has arrived at Capital Hair and Beauty. Here’s why you’ll want to add it to your basket.
SO SIMPLE, SO GOOD
Forget throwaway catchphrases and scent concoctions that are simply a distraction. Color Wow Color Security Shampoo contains zero fragrance, sulphates or any other ingredients that will end up causing build-up and weighing the hair down. Hair and scalp are left clean and healthy. For conditioning, there are just two options of Color Wow Color Security Conditioner– one for fine to normal hair and one for normal to thick hair. Used alongside the shampoo, the goal is simple: hair that is clean and in optimum condition for growth. You can shop Color Wow’s shampoo and conditioner here on Capital’s Hair & Beauty website.
NO COMPARISON
Dream Coat: It’s the products with thousands of 5-star reviews and for good reason. Think of Dream Coat Supernatural Spray as a mini Keratin treatment that leaves hair with a glasslike gloss, and zero frizz. And curls aren’t left out either! Dream Coat for Curly Hair features the same ultra-light spray and creates frizz-free, bouncy, ‘no crunch’ curls. Need we say more? Root Cover Up: Beloved by celebrities for its ability to cover up gaps along the hairline, this touch up powder leaves hair looking thicker and mimics the hair’s natural reflective qualities. All Color Wow products are now available to purchase here.
COLOR WOW LOVERS
Celeb stylist to the likes of Jennifer Lopez and the Kardashians, Chris Appleton, is the go-to guy when it comes to hair that’s modern, chic and touchable. Chris could be named as the man who put Kim K and her sisters on the style radar once he started working with their hair and using Color Wow. When he creates a look, that look is the trend to watch immediately. Check him out on Instagram @chrisappleton to see how he uses Dream Coat.
Color Wow has now landed in most of our UK stores. You can now shop the whole range here on the Capital website or in-store.

Vegan and Cruelty-Free Hair and Beauty: Simple Swaps and Recommendations for Veganuary
The new year often brings a sense of renewal, self-improvement and positive change. For many, this means reducing the consumption of animal products and embracing a more compassionate lifestyle. As hair and beauty professionals, we can support and promote this growing movement by embracing vegan and cruelty-free options. However, transitioning to fully vegan products may initially seem daunting. This is why, in this post, we will explore some simple swaps you can try in January that are still highly effective and recommendations for vegan styling products and treatments to expand your offerings this Veganuary. We aim to make embracing ethical beauty approachable and attainable so you can focus on what matters most - caring for your clients with confidence and care.
Simple swaps this Veganuary
Start Small: It can be overwhelming to transition to fully vegan products overnight. One simple swap you can make is changing your hair brushes and combs to those made from natural materials such as bamboo (link to bamboo page) or wood. Not only are these products sustainable and eco-friendly, but they also help reduce static hair and promote healthy shine. Another easy swap for your salon or personal use is choosing cruelty-free and vegan nail polishes from brands like The Manicure Company. Ethically made and with an unwavering commitment to being a vegan and cruelty-free brand, Zero Gel Polish is widely available at our stores and comes in a vast array of colours. These small changes can make a big difference
