As environmental awareness grows, attitudes towards the environment are changing dramatically. We have started to become aware of the negative impact we are having on the world. As this awareness grow so does the increased demand for sustainable products within the beauty industry. Brands such as INDOLA are standing up for change; understanding the need for more choice, INDOLA strives to meet the evolving requirements of hairdressers and their clients. This is why they decided to ACT NOW! and developed a high-performing care and styling range, focusing on sustainability. The new range is vegan, free-from and all formulas include natural ingredients.
A brand with a purpose
The demand for products which leave a smaller impact on the environment is now more than just a trend – for many people, it has become a way of life. Joining forces with Plastic Bank on the war on plastic pollution, ACT NOW! gives back to the planet by preventing 1.5 million bottles from becoming ocean plastic in the first year alone. For every ACT NOW! bottle sold, two plastic bottles are saved from ending up in the environment.
INDOLA’s impressive environmentally product range ACT NOW! is:
- free-from silicones & sulphate-surfactants formulas
- free from Mineral Oils
- free from Parabens
- free from Artificial Colourants & Artificial Waxes
- vegan
- produced with up to 97% recycled packaging
Consisting of 12 must-have products, the ACT NOW! collection is made up of six care, and six styling products, all of which are vegan formulas. The care range has been crafted using carefully selected natural ingredients such as Chia Seed Extract, Almond Oil or Shea Butter.
Commenting on Indola’s new Act Now range is Indola’s Ambassador Abbey Jarrold, “With the world becoming much more environmentally focused, I think that this is a great initiative from Indola and one that I am proud to be a part of. The range still delivers amazing results whilst being sustainable and better for the environment. The carefully selected ingredients and responsibly sourced packaging mean that stylists can feel reassured that they are not compromising on performance whilst still being friendly to the environment and client.”

Vegan and Cruelty-Free Hair and Beauty: Simple Swaps and Recommendations for Veganuary
The new year often brings a sense of renewal, self-improvement and positive change. For many, this means reducing the consumption of animal products and embracing a more compassionate lifestyle. As hair and beauty professionals, we can support and promote this growing movement by embracing vegan and cruelty-free options. However, transitioning to fully vegan products may initially seem daunting. This is why, in this post, we will explore some simple swaps you can try in January that are still highly effective and recommendations for vegan styling products and treatments to expand your offerings this Veganuary. We aim to make embracing ethical beauty approachable and attainable so you can focus on what matters most - caring for your clients with confidence and care.
Simple swaps this Veganuary
Start Small: It can be overwhelming to transition to fully vegan products overnight. One simple swap you can make is changing your hair brushes and combs to those made from natural materials such as bamboo (link to bamboo page) or wood. Not only are these products sustainable and eco-friendly, but they also help reduce static hair and promote healthy shine. Another easy swap for your salon or personal use is choosing cruelty-free and vegan nail polishes from brands like The Manicure Company. Ethically made and with an unwavering commitment to being a vegan and cruelty-free brand, Zero Gel Polish is widely available at our stores and comes in a vast array of colours. These small changes can make a big difference
