Discover Nioxin
NIOXIN was started in 1987 after its founder Eva Graham suffered from post-partum hair loss. It is formulated with Minoxidil, a clinically proven ingredient for reducing the effects of thinning hair. NIOXIN has been backed by more than 30 years of dedicated independent research, NIOXIN is the most awarded brand for thinning hair in the USA and it has the support of the institute of Trichologists, the foremost professional association for the science and study of hair in the world.
NIOXIN has found inspiration in premium skincare to supply advanced care for thinning hair. As an extension of facial skin, the scalp requires the same attention and treatment. The NIOXIN range of products are designed to strengthen, nourish, and repair thinning hair from its foundation. Because scalp health creates hair health, and this provides the perfect foundation for thicker, fuller - looking hair.
It’s important to remember that hair loss or hair thinning isn’t an unusual thing. In fact, 50% of the population will experience hair loss at some point in their lives. There is no single cause of hair loss. Clients may experience it through menopause or post-partum, from stress or diet, whilst others may simply have a genetic predisposition. However, prevention is better than cure, so understanding the root causes can help you spot the early signs of thinning. We normally lose about 100 hairs a day, however some signs of excess hair shedding can include:
- Widening hair parting
- A more visible scalp
- More hairs on your pillow
- More hairs after brushing or combing
- A thinner ponytail
NIOXIN’s System Kits are specially formulated hair thinning treatments, tailored to suit different hair needs. Each multi-part Nioxin system consists of three steps that make these system kits easy to use: cleanse, condition and treat the scalp and the hair to lay the foundation for thicker, fuller-looking locks. As well as splitting our kits into light thinning and progressed thinning, we’ve split our system kits in to three further types based on hair type and the level of moisture it needs:
Natural hair: hair that has not been coloured or had its texture changed through a chemical treatment such as perming or bleaching. This hair type needs low levels of moisture.
Coloured hair: hair that has been artificially coloured using demi, semi or permanent colour causing the hair to become drier. This hair type needs a moderate amount of moisture and contains our colour shield technology to stop your colour from fading.
Chemically treated hair: hair that has been permed, bleached or chemically straightened. This type of hair needs intense moisture so contains our smooth plex technology to help with moisture balance and smoothing control as well as our colour shield technology.
NIOXIN Anti Hair loss Serum is a leave-on hair treatment to thicken the hair and reduce hair loss. It is clinically proven to reduce hair loss by 20%* in only 8 weeks via improved hair anchorage (*on average). This hair loss serum contains caffeine, lauric acid, niacinamide and Sandalore™, a clinically proven formula that thickens hair, increases hair anchorage, reduces hair fall and it is dermatologically tested.
