Offer your clients the perfect bridal manicure
After hair and make-up, nails can often be an afterthought for brides when it comes to their wedding day look but we think it polishes (pun intended) the look off. Well-manicured nails can make all the difference, especially when looking back at the wedding photos. Here Rachel Gribble, Salon System Educator and expert nail technician shares her advice on bridal nails...
How can salons attract the bridal market into the salon?
Salons can create special bridal packages that offer the bride to be as many services as possible - do not forget the bridesmaids and mums too!
What trends are going to be hot this year for bridal nails?
We are going to see a lot more nail art for brides this year, be it a simple delicate design, signature nails, right through to full-on bling nails. Designs will reflect each bride’s personality and look for her big day.
What is a fail-safe bridal nail design that every tech should perfect?
Every nail technician should be able to do a perfect French tip, as well as floral designs.
How can salons attract grooms?
Offer ‘Bride and Groom’ packages: all grooms will benefit from a good manicure in addition to other treatments such as facials and pedicures, to ensure they are looking polished for the big day!
What other treatments should salons offer to compliment and link-sell during a bridal nail service?
All services are a good sale link when it comes to brides. In particular, facials, make up, pedicures, lash and brow treatments and tanning are ideal for bridal beauty.
What after-care advice should be given to a bride after her nail service?
The standard after-care advice should be given as normal, but brides should be advised to take extra care with their hands, so they do not do any damage to their nails on the morning of their big day.
For perfect nails on the big day, what treatment plan would you advise a tech organises with her client and how far in advance of the wedding?
I would advise that a bride have a consultation with their salon about six months prior to the big day, in order to decide on the best treatment plan to fulfil their beauty goals and desired style.
