Get The Look: Ross Hume & Craig Chapman

We wanted to give you two fresh looks to kick off this Spring, so we're starting with Ross Hume of Linton & Mac's preppy men's cut, followed by Hair Dot Com's beautiful modern braid.

"To recreate this look, start by giving hair the right texture. Prep with Osmo Extreme Volume Mega Styling Foam, which will give hair just the right amount of guts and hold to allow you to create this style." Says Ross.

"Next, set the hair on small rollers. Allow the hair to dry naturally in the rollers, rather than adding heat."

"Once the curls are set, use Osmo Power Powder Texturising Dust, to give the roots that lift, while adding even more thickness to the hair. Crucially, this product will allow the style to retain the softness that really defines this look."

"Next, dress out the curls, using a wide tooth comb, before finishing with American Crew Defining Paste through the sides - this will add some hold and keep the look neat. It will also help to add some subtle shine-free definition, and give that all-important matte finish."

Next up, Hair Dot Com's Craig Chapman explains how to create this gorgeous power pony...

"To create this look, prep the hair with Redken Guts 10 and Redken All Soft Argan 6 to give the hair grip and shine. Blow dry the hair flat to the head, with a centre parting for a head-hugging silhouette. Before banding at the nape of the neck, release some softness around the front hair line to keep a soft, editorial feel to the look. Pull out as much or as little as you like to personalise the finished look."

"Now, using an elastic from your kit, tie the pony tight in at the nape of the neck, keeping the hair polished against the head. If the hair isn't so long, add extensions (or in this case, a full wig!) and grip to the newly banded area. Then, using a long length of elastic, wrap in an irregular criss-cross pattern tightly down the pony. This will not only give great texture but will secure the wig or extension to your existing pony. Once you have banded your desired length of pony, knot the elastic to secure."

"Now pull the hair in-between each elastic to create an uber textured finish, perfect for the red carpet!"
