Chrissy Teigen styled by Giannandrea for Macadamia
We loved Chrissy Teigen’s gorgeous tussled curls for the 2014 Grammy Awards, and when we found out that it was created by Macadamia’s Giannandrea, we had to find out how it was done! There to support her husband and “All of Me” singer, John Legend, Teigen walked the red carpet in a gold Johanna Johnson gown with a bold v – neckline and flowing train. To complement her outfit, she prepped her hair the night before with Macadamia Natural Oil hair care range. Read on to find out how Giannandrea got Tiegan’s hair red carpet ready:
STEP 1: Giannandrea started styling by rough drying Teigen's hair upside down to lift and amplify the overall volume of the hair. He sprayed Macadamia Natural Oil’s Volumizing Dry Shampoo to the entire head to create density and texture.
STEP 2: He sectioned her hair in to three sections with a deep side part and dried her bangs forward with a large round brush.
STEP 3: He continued to add texture by spraying Macadamia Natural Oil’s Control hairspray to ¾ sections of the hair before curling the entire head with a ¾ inch curling iron.
STEP 4: With a large tooth comb, he then combed through her hair creating soft waves and applied a small amount of Macadamia Natural Oil Healing Oil Treatment to the ends to add shine.
STEP 5: He created a very small cornrow on the open side of her face, braiding it very tightly to the scalp. Then he pinned the braid behind Teigen’s ear.
STEP 6: Lastly, Giannandrea finished by back-brushing the hair from the top of the crown and sprayed Control Spray to the entire head for maximum hold.
