Prepare your nails for the sea with this fun, fashionable nautical anchor design created by Salon System Nail Technician, Julie-Anne Larivière, using Salon System’s new Gellux Beach Club Duo 30 second gel nail polishes.
Step 1
Prepare the nails and clean with Gellux Prep + Wipe. Apply Gellux Fast Bond and allow to dry for 60 seconds.
Apply Gellux Mermaid from the new Beach Club Duo to every nail, then cure for 30 seconds with LED or 2 minutes UV.
Step 4
Apply a second coat of Gellux Mermaid to each nail and cure for 30 seconds with LED or 2 minutes UV.
Step 5
Using a striper brush dipped in Gellux Beach Boy from the new Beach Club duo, create two horizontal stripes, one at the top of the nail, and the other near the bottom. Cure for 30 seconds with LED or 2 minutes UV.
Step 6
Dip a very fine detail brush into Gellux Beach Boy and create small anchors, then cure after each nail, 30 seconds with LED or 2 minutes UV.
Step 7
Apply Gellux Top Coat and cure for 60 seconds LED or 3 minutes UV.
Step 8
Wipe off sticky layer with Gellux Prep + Wipe and apply Naillux Cuticle Cream to moisturise the skin around the nails.

Hi Sophie, tell us a little bit about your journey and how you go into the industry and what lead up to starting out on your own?
I gained a lot of knowledge from working in different settings from working with a big teams in a 5 star hotels and spas to smaller beauty salon environments. I gained so much knowledge from working in both settings and although it was hard work and long hours.
I started out by working in a few different 5 star hotels with spas and a salons where I gained all my knowledges and experiences from each one to put together for my own business! It was hard work and long hours all the practice paid off. It was actually one of my clients I saw regularly in the salon I worked at that said I should set up on my own and gave me the confidence to go self-employed and I’ve not looked back since!
