Colour Transformation: Brief and Rules
Competition Brief
1. To enter the competition Create a colour transformation.
2. Take either before or after photos or a video reel, clearly showing the look.
3. DM the photos or video reel to @wellaxcapitaltva.
4. Include in the DM your college or training provider details.
5. Opening date for entries - 4th May.
6. Closing Date - 30th June @ 5pm.
About The Entry
1. TO ENTER the competition - DM via Instagram either a reel demonstrating the before and after transformation or two images (before and after) together with your college or training provider details to @wellaxcapitaltva. For entries to be valid the video reel/photos must be sent between Monday 4th May and Tuesday 30th June @ 5pm. Entries received after this date/time cannot be accepted.
2. The use of head blocks is not accepted, and colour added on hair extensions is also not accepted.
3. You must include your college or training provider details, we will confirm you are a student during entering the competition before your entry is judged.
4. If sending the DM via college/training provider account and it is not clearly stated in the DM the students' full name the entry will not be valid.
5. Your college/training provider will be contacted when you enter to gain confirmation of consent to take part in the competition.
6. The photo/Video used for the entry:
- Does not need to be professionally taken.
- Should not be older than 12 months old.
- Needs to clearly show before and after results.
7. Overuse of filters or photoshop will result in disqualification.
8. By entering the competition and DMing their photographic/video entry the competitor agrees and assigns their intellectual property rights to Wella Company and (Capital Hair and Beauty) LTD.
9. If any persons appearing in any photograph is under the age majority (age majority for UK and Ireland is 18 yrs old) in their country of residence, the signature of a parent or legal guardian is required on release.
10. Please note that the competitor does not have to use Wella Professionals products on their entry.
11. The entries will be judged by a panel of industry professionals for Wella Company and Capital Hair and Beauty LTD, the judges decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into. Competitors and college/training providers have no right to legal recourse.
12. The top 10 finalists entries will be posted on Instagram @capitalhairuk.
13. The winning applicant will be announced by the end of July 2026.
About The Prize
14. The WellaXCapital TVA competition winner will receive a prize which includes:
- Entry for winner + Lecturer to the House of Wella event on 14th September.
- Attendance for winner + lecturer to Wella Trendvision award on Monday 14th September.
- Hair shows from top industry icons - Dinner - Awards - Dancing Accommadation for winner + lecturer on Monday evening 14th September.
- Travel expenses to the value of £200 each.
15. If the student who wins is under the age of 18, their companion must be over the age of 18 years old. The companion will attend the House of Wella and Trendvision awards with the winner.
About the Competition
16. This is a competition in association with Wella Company and Capital Hair and Beauty LTD.
17. There is no age limit.
18. Competitors from UK and Ireland must be studying at their college/training provider at the time of entering the competition for at least one day a week and for the duration of the competition, for their NVQ level 2 or 3, VRQ level 2 or 3, National certificate or National Qualification level 2 or QQI level 5 or 6.
19. Competitors must have no more than 5 years hairdressing experience.
20. Competitors can submit more than one entry.
21. Competitors must gain consent from the model whose image they are using to enter the competition. Entry implies acceptance of these rules.
22. The competitor must be totally responsible for all elements contributing to the colour and finish of the hair.
23. Entry to the competition is free.

About The Educational Institution
1. Competitors must gain consent from the college/training academy that they are representing to take part in WellaXCapital TVA competition 2026.
2. A training provider is a registered training organisation who supplies the training element of an apprenticeship. This is a separate organisation from the salon the entrant is employed. Registration documents may be required for proof.
3. The college or training academy that appears in the Instagram entry will be the college or private training academy that will attend the event with the winner. Should the competitor leave their place of education/training (i.e., move to a different college or private training academy) during the competition, they will lose their right to attend the awards. In case of the student withdrawal of attending the awards the college or private training academy will also lose the right to attend the awards.
