Course Details

Your theory and practical will be face to face with an educator at a venue and pre-booked dates of your choice at Capital Hair & Beauty.

Instore Practical Session – 6 hours (10am - 4pm)

Key Features

Prior to face to face instore training you will receive access to your learning portal to complete the following:

  • Health and Safety
  • Client Consultation and managing expectations
  • Video content to refer to after the live course with additional information & styles

The Instore face to face practical session will cover;

  • Beard Colouring/Tinting
  • Facial hair waxing (brows, temples upper cheeks, nostrils and ears
  • Facial Threading (upper cheek)

Key Learnings

  • The skills and knowledge to integrate facial hair waxing, shaping
    tinting and threading into your service offer
  • Skills and knowledge to develop and practice ongoing and to
    integrate these treatments in to your male styling services

Additional Information

  • Students must be at least 18 years of age to attend
  • Students will need to bring a model (age 18 years+) for 14.00. Models
    should have facial hair, be skin tested for beard/ brow tinting and able
    to have hair removal performed on the Nostrils, Brows, Temples,
    Upper Cheeks and Ears using a combination of techniques
  • You will receive a Welcome Email from Training Solutions within 48 hours of purchasing your training from Capital Hair & Beauty. The email will explain your learning journey and how you can access your online learning portal
  • You will continue to have access to the online learning portal for 1 year (a subscription is available after this time)
  • Upon completion you will receive an accredited E-certificate
  • 6 CPD hours
  • All learners will be required to work and initially develop skills on each other, hair should be grown on the arms, legs, nostrils and ears (male and female).
  • Students MUST patch test themselves and their model before attending the in-store practical training. There is a unit in your online learning that explains the process and what you need to do.
  • You are required to have obtained an NVQ/VRQ level 2 or equivalent in hairdressing, barbering or beauty therapy or have at least 2 years commercial experience in at least one of those areas.

What is needed for the instore practical training

  • Please bring along your working scissors you are comfortable using combs, dryer, and basic styling kit.
  • Working on a model (male aged 18+) from 14.00pm will be required per learner . Models should have facial hair, be skin tested for beard/ brow tinting and able to have hair removal performed on the Nostrils, Brows, Temples, Upper Cheeks and Ears using a combination of techniques.
  • Please bring 1 x electronic devices (iPad/laptop & smartphone) fully charged with data to be able to access your online portal to get your E-Certificate
